Ellie Goes to Art Camp

I have been following Yellowbobbypins Art Camp for a while now intending to get Ellie involved in their activities. Recently, I saw where they have Mommy & Me art class on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. It is $12 a class, or; you have the option of buying a package deal....all the classes for a great rate. Knowing how Ellie loves art, play, and friends, I bought the package for September before ever trying it out. And I cannot wait to purchase our packages for the rest of the semester that remain! Let me tell you why.

We arrive to the location and it is a BEAUTIFUL home that belongs to the teacher, Mrs. Lauren. It is like the local Disney World for moms and kids! I'll never be able to give a worthy description, yet I'll try; however, you just need to go! This house is done in a mid century modern style, open, wooden beams, exposed brick, a sunk in living room, chalk wall at child height all around the kitchen.....you just have to go. Things to discover, explore, play with everywhere! It actually soothes my soul. And excites Ellie's!

The den has big sensory bin tables - themed each week for the story to be read first thing. Yes, every week, we have a theme from a book. Mrs. Lauren reads the kids a story with the most animated expressions, capturing her young and rowdy toddler audience. She dances with them and really gets involved with each and every single individual child. After the story, we get to bounce between 4 or 5 different art and play stations she has set up themed to the story. It is amazing. She has all the supplies, she is laid back and sweet, and so creative! Ellie just thrives there. Paint, glue, goop, slime, beads, things to climb, play dough...ALL the things!! She is encouraged to explore, get messy, create, and have fun. It is an hour long class and it flies by for all the fun had. It is most definitely one of my top classes for Ellie and any child. Take your kid! Follow the affiliate link above and get yourself and your little one off to art camp! You will not regret it and it is wildly affordable! It is a happy happy place!
