Go explore the .6 mi loop of The Cypress Wetlands in Beaufort, SC to see alligators, turtles, and countless coastal birds in their rookery.
It was stunning. We walked the loop and it felt magical seeing so many stunning birds so close and so naturally. It was exciting to see so many alligators. I believe we counted 11! We watched snow egrets building nests and others laying in their nests.
It was peaceful and lovely to walk and watch. Have lunch at Fish Camp on 11th then stop by the wetlands for a walk and wander!
