Old Post 1940 - Royal Dinner - Easley, SC

It was the end of a day of hiking when I first saw "Old Post 1940" across the tracks in downtown Easley. "Wow!" I thought as I sat at the stop sign in admiration. "What is this going to be?" I wondered. So, like any good millennial, I looked them up on Instagram and Facebook so I could follow for events in hopes I could one day see the inside of this gorgeous place! And then that opportunity came when they held an event for all the little princesses in the land!

(photo taken from Old Post 1940 Facebook page)

Old Post hosted a Royal Dinner with The Fairytale Maker Parties and Element Restaurant of Easley, SC (a beloved and favorite spot of mine!) At this royal event, Cinderella, Ariel, Moana, Tiana, Belle, and Tinkerbell were there to celebrate with all of us parents' little princesses!

Old Post gave the option of two different ticket types for their royal guests! We went with the standard package that included a catered lunch from Element, visits with all the princesses, a professional photo with Belle taken by Emma Bee Photography, and decorating their own crowns. The package that was a step up included all of this and 30 minutes early entry to have more one on one time with the princesses, and a wax sealed and stamped beautiful royal invitation mailed to your home! How precious?!

Old Post is so beautiful and lovingly created and crafted from the inside out! Outside the beautiful building is a bench. But not just any bench. It was hand crafted by one of their own and is so beautiful and smooth! Little touches like that, hand made, lovingly crafted, beautifully designed - its just a first taste of all the love that has gone into making this wonderful business. Inside was a dream! If only it was here when Eric and I married almost 6 years ago! Incredible. Any bride and groom will be lucky to be married here! Every. Single. Detail. Incredible, y'all. For example, their floors alone... beautiful to see, but more precious than appearance is how they are laid and covered below in scripture. This building is covered in the word of God and the precious Holy Spirit. I LOVE a business that loves our awesome God, y'all!! They will have me forever in any way I can support them! And their service, smiles, and kindness match their mission.

Beautiful Disney classic instrumental music played throughout the hall. Lights changed colors, chandeliers twinkled, sconces warmed, and wooden tables delighted all the senses for a cozy homey atmosphere of class, comfort, and royalty.

The tables were adorned with gold painted evergreens, silver platters of shimmering tea lights, crowns and stickers and jewels for decorating, pink napkins, and my Ellie's personal favorite - a delicious sugar rimmed punch glass fit for a princess!

Ellie, Eric, and myself were served by an attentive and smiling staff, making us all feel royal! I anxiously awaited my entree from Element! Old Post allowed at the time of purchasing tickets a dinner choice of two dishes for the adult guests. I ordered the veggie lasagna and my husband the blackened chicken. Both absolutely wonderful and I expected no less because Element is in my opinion Easley's finest restaurant. So good!! We love them! I've featured them previously, here. Please check them out and support them as well! So so so so good!!! So special! So glad they were part of this event!

Here is Ellie's cutie patootie dinner!! Oh it did delight her to no end! So precious!

After her dinner, Ellie was invited to have one on one time with Belle and have a professional photo taken with her! I can't wait to see it! Ellie said that was her most favorite part! It was truly precious.
I could go on and on and on about the joy this event gave us and how impressed I am with Old Post 1940, Element, and The Fairytale Makers Parties. I haven't words full enough of my gratitude and joy! Thank you, dears, for this event and the magical day you gave my daughter and family! We can't wait for more moments like this!

Heart Surgery - Update 2

Time truly is an odd thing. Our time on Earth is short, even if we manage to live 100+ years. We can hardly fathom eternity and the length...
