Week 28 Homeschool Preschool

This week in homeschool we got flexible with our plans. I attended the Great Homeschool Conventions conference in Greenville with my sister and mama starting Thursday. Therefore, I made the most of Monday-Wednesday with Ellie.

We read another book from our Before Five in a Row Curriculum. The book was "Katy No Pocket." This precious story made my girl laugh and it allowed for us to have a lovely opportunity to study Australia, work on her sewing, cooking, and math, and ABC's. You can read about all of that here. Here are some photos from the fun:

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a lot of sensory bin fun, counting, reading, and playing. We studied the symbolism of the Holy Trinity, 3 in 1 of the shamrock. You can read more into our adventures, here.
We continued our monthly bible verse, catechism, bible studies, and Easter preparation studies.

We studied the Vernal Equinox, looked for signs of spring, picked a Spring bouquet, and read books.

For the time I was conferencing, Ellie was with her 4 cousins with my parents doing tie-dye, going to the park, painting nails, and playing hard outside.

Ellie and her cousins came to the convention center one night for a concert! This was Ellie's first concert. The music was by "Slugs & Bugs," a group dedicated to making funny, silly songs that help children joyfully memorize scripture, books of the bible, and fruits of the Holy Spirit. Ellie jammed with her cousins dancing down the aisle, waving her hands and clapping!

The family rode bikes and did an Easter egg hunt and cookout together. After Ellie gathered her eggs, she wanted to count how many she gathered! Yes!! Counting! whoop! 35.

Not all homeschool weeks and days have to be jam packed and I love that! I love the flexibility of homeschool and how it allows for us to travel, do the things we want, and learn in doing those things as well.

Heart Surgery - Update 2

Time truly is an odd thing. Our time on Earth is short, even if we manage to live 100+ years. We can hardly fathom eternity and the length...
