Yuletide Unicorn Festival - Hidden Pasture Farm

I recently wrote how much my family has enjoyed this unicorn farm called Hidden Pasture Farm in Fountain Inn so much over the past year. It is so true that all their heart and souls go into their farm and it is such a precious place. What a wonderfully magical place to leave your troubles for a while and relish in the exuberant joy of your child or children.

They are currently hosting Yuletide Unicorn Festival WITH Santa Claus every Fri.- Sun. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Dec. 20. And friends, y'all have got to go! This event was incredible and I expected no less.

We began our Yuletide visit with a journey to the barn where Santa sat waiting for Ellie behind his desk with his list of names in his big giant book! He found Ellie on the nice list, Phew! She told him her wish list this Christmas which was a bible, and little pillows for her baby dolls, and a dinosaur. Santa wrote down her list and then we had a photo with him!

Next, we ran out to the pasture so Ellie could take a horse ride! She just so loves to ride horses. She rode completely solo today, no mommy or daddy holding onto her! It was a pony ride so there was more confidence for all of us as she spread her wings!

Then, it was off to the bounce houses. They have two. One is a regular bounce house, open space, with a basketball goal in a corner, and the other is an obstacle course that ends in a slide. This is Ellie's favorite every time! They also have such a fun playground area. All the kids love it!

There were Christmas decorations everywhere! Gigantic blow ups of Santa, Rudolph, the Abominable, there were giant candy canes, and so much more to spread that Christmas cheer. The interior of the barn was adorned with Christmas lights and the exterior occupied a parked sleigh and unicorns in place of reindeer! So cute!

They have concessions and seating areas all over when you get hungry. My husband got a chilli cheese hot dog. He is from Michigan and has lived here since 2008. In 12 years time, today he was finally able to say he found the best chili in the south. He was mighty pleased. Boy loves him a hot dog! It's a great space for a pic-nic. Eric, my husband, got me and Ellie boiled peanuts!

Then, Ellie rode the unicorn tractor train ride, played on the wonderful playground, and of course she fed and played with the unicorns!! She petted all the animals and blew them kisses. She ran, ran, ran all over the place so very happy.

It was so AWESOME to know that Hidden Pasture Farm was going to make a way to at least keep Christmas normal this year. Y'all, I'm not kidding, I was searching for a Santa suit. I was like full out prepared to get a guy friend to dress up and ring the door belle, or heck! Dress up myself and do a heck of a makeup job! I'm not ok with the way that things are right now messing up life for my child and I haven't let it yet. She should have a normal childhood without concern of the world's chaos and thank goodness somebody made a way for that. Thank you, Hidden Pasture Farm. They made a creative way to social distance and still see Santa and still have Christmas traditions. This Christmas event is top notch and I highly encourage all families to get out there this season to make a little Yuletide magic on the farm with the unicorns!

Heart Surgery - Update 2

Time truly is an odd thing. Our time on Earth is short, even if we manage to live 100+ years. We can hardly fathom eternity and the length...
