Pearson's Falls, Saluda, NC

How have I never heard of this?! It's just barely an hour from my house and for all you Blue Ridge end of Greenville folks, this is really close! My friend Karen and our precious tots ventured out today. She had been before with our hiking group, Hike it Baby Greenville. I, however; was in new territory today.

The hike is not really a hike, more of a nature walk. It is a 1/4 mile to be exact and dirt and flat flagstone path to the falls. Everything is perfectly beautiful and charming like a fairytale wood. There is a sign at the start of the walk to the falls like this:

They even had pumpkins on the bridge posts for fall decor! Precious!!

The falls are 90 ft long, breathtaking, and so peace invoking. Incredibly easy trail with a huge payout at the end.

Choose to pack a pic-nic and eat by the falls on boulders or a bench, or enjoy resting near the creek on the small trail near the parking lot with your snack.

This waterfall is perfect for those just practicing venturing out with little ones, limited walking distance, and in need of an easy trail. What a reward you will receive!

No dogs allowed, however, so take note!

In your Google GPS just type, Pearson's Falls, Saluda, NC and you're on your way! This is just barely outside of SC and just a wonderful trip all around! Enjoy fall foliage, cooler temps, and serenity! On weekends it is more packed as I've read, keep that in mind. Weekday mornings will be best for a quieter visit, if desired and possible.

Happy Waterfallin'!!

Heart Surgery - Update 2

Time truly is an odd thing. Our time on Earth is short, even if we manage to live 100+ years. We can hardly fathom eternity and the length...
