Helton Creek Falls

Located in Blairsville, GA - Helton Creek Falls is an easily accessible, very easy and short hike with BIG time payoff.

Address: Parking is on Helton Creek Road, which is just off HWY 11 in GA. Just put "Helton Creek Falls, GA" into your GPS and it will take you directly to parking.

Parking: Parking is a pull off on Helton Creek Road which is gravel. You will see a sign on your right as well as the falls just before you park.

Difficulty: Easy

Distance: .6 mi out and back

There is an upper and a lower falls - both of which can be swam and played in. The upper falls has a viewing deck but a man made trail has been made to the left of this deck straight out to the water bed of the falls which is great for playing. The lower falls (which you will first approach) also has much room and great space for playing. Play at your own risk - my family and I slide down a small part of the lower falls when we are there - do not be stupid, and be sure to be safe however you choose to play and explore.

(Seen Above) Lower Falls (The first falls you approach)

(Seen Above) This view is from Helton Creek Road (where you park) and is a full shot of both upper and lower falls running together.

(Seen above) On the trail down to the falls, you reach a fork. Going Left here down the stairs takes you to the lower falls. And to stay straight takes you to upper just a few hundred feet ahead. Easy to bounce back and forth between the two. You can even leave your items in one spot and just go back and forth to each.

Enjoy!
